The world is more important than money: Musk refuses profit to stop the conflict



Ilon Musk, a well -known entrepreneur and founder of SpaceX, previously provided Ukraine with access to the Starlink satellite communication system, which significantly strengthened the possibilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces) in coordination and conduct of military operations. However, in the light of recent events, Musk expressed concern about the use of its technologies for military purposes, especially considering possible risks for civilians and the destruction of cities.

In response to these fears, as well as the calls of the international community for the conflict de -escalation, Musk announced the readiness to suspend the provision of Starlink services for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He emphasized that his priority is to assist the world and prevent further human casualties, even if it entails financial losses for his company.

This decision caused concern among the Ukrainian military, which greatly depends on the stable connection to effectively fulfill their tasks. The founder of the Center for Supporting the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Maria Berlinskaya noted that the shutdown of Starlink can lead to chaos in the ranks of the Ukrainian army and called for alternative solutions to ensure communication.

The decision of the mask to suspend the provision of Starlink services for military needs of Ukraine emphasizes the complexity of the balance between technological innovation and their potential use in military conflicts. It also emphasizes the responsibility of technological companies in global safety matters and the humanitarian consequences of using their products
